Promoting driver wellness during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

THANK YOU WALLER DRIVERS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Waller Truck Company promotes driver wellness during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

Excelsior Springs, Missouri – Waller Truck Co., Inc., along with trucking companies across America, will spend a week honoring the 3.1 million professional truck drivers nationwide that safely and securely deliver America’s freight everyday. For the first time, companies are adding a “driver wellness” factor to the annual celebrations.

“We will offer healthy snacks, on the road exercise tips and even a meditation recording created especially for Waller drivers by Patti Stark,” says Courtney Robb, Project Manager at Waller Truck Company. Stark, life coach and owner of Serenity on the Square says, “yoga poses for releasing tight hips and shoulders are beneficial to drivers as they spend long periods of time sitting and gripping the wheel.”

Additional plans for the week include breakfast from Two Guys and a Grill, a canned food drive competition and a cookout sponsored by MHC Kenworth. “We appreciate our drivers 365 days a year but we don't often get the opportunity to tell them. We are fortunate to celebrate drivers all this week,” says Lisa Rheuport, lead recruiter at Waller. Activities will conclude on Friday with a driver awards banquet.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week runs September 16-22. Over 80% of communities in the U.S. depend on goods solely from the trucking industry. Find a list of local and national driver events at www.driverappreciation.com or www.wallertruck.com. Take time to thank a trucker today.
